Relationships II

Whether you are ready to admit it or not, some part of you immediately gets anxious when you imagine yourself being rich and successful and how that will impact your interpersonal relationships.

Should money or fame come your way, you might wonder:

  • Who’s gonna knock on your door?

  • Will you be more respected?

  • Will you finally get the love you’ve been craving?

  • Are you going to have more friends?

  • And will those friends be fake friends or real friends?

The above questions may also be layered with feeling that you are not allowed to be more successful or have it any easier than your parents, siblings, extended family members, friends, significant others, etc. (This includes people who are deceased, as well as living.) Plus, your pursuit of your goals and dreams may take time away from your loved ones, who could then resort to all sorts of bizarre behavior to get you to pay attention to them.

You know success is possible. Yet who will be tagging along for the ride? Or who will be nagging you on the journey? Taking the time now to address any of the above questions will help to transform your resistance and begin to clear the pathway to reaching your goals.
